Hurdles of a Teacher

 Teaching and technology can't be done without each other in the classroom. With all the changes happening in the world it's important to stay on top of being educated when it comes to technology. Which means being educated and properly trained in technology access, which is something that I strongly believe in.  As a current substitute teacher, I see how advanced children are with technology and how they tend to learn more from it than being distracted by it. As a future educator, I plan on incorporating technology into my classroom efficiently so every student can benefit from the amount of knowledge that comes from any device.  When I first started studying to be a teacher, I had no idea how to use many technology applications an LMS in the classroom.  When it comes to a learning management system it can be difficult to manage especially if you don't know what exactly to do. When I first started, I wasn't sure what to do, I was stuck figuring out how to upload assignments and announcements. What helped me was having different resources that guided me through the LMS.  First when building my LMS I was able to customize to my liking and make it more welcoming for the students. I used Google Classroom, so after watching videos was easy to navigate, especially for new teachers. My lesson focused primarily on the topic of plants for second graders, and it was interesting to learn that I can input many different things into the LMS. For the instruction portion I decided to make an interactive PowerPoint using Pear Deck which is great to keep the students engaged during the lesson.
